Land Acknowledgement
I hereby acknowledge and give thanks for the opportunity to be able to live, work, and complete this meeting on the traditional lands and territory of a number of First Nations including the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation, and the Mississauga’s of the Credit as well as the Huron Wendat, Petun, and the Anishinabek people.
We acknowledge that the work we are doing today is being done in the area of the Toronto Purchase, Treaty 13 with the Mississauga’s of the Credit as well as the Williams Treaties with several Mississauga and Chippewa First Nations.
